MIRACLE DETOX

BEST LIVER DETOX EVER

by Ann Louise Gittleman, Ph.D

Looking for a great way to have more energy and also have the benefit of losing the unwanted pounds?

MELTS 7-9 LBS IN 3 DAYS!

The key is to nourish and heal your LIVER, using this phytonutrient-rich three day cleanse. “4 million women have already tried the plan, and they’ve proven that it safely and completely revitalizes the fat-burning organ prompting dramatic weight loss,” maintains nutritionist Ann Louise Gittleman, PH.D.

Day One is a super simple juice fast. Days Two and Three: include a bounty of nutrient-dense liver-healing foods. You won’t go hungry - the fruit juices' sugars provide sustained energy while the cinnamon and ginger reduce cravings - and you’ll lose up to nine pounds of fat in three days, Gittleman assures.

For one day you’ll abstain from food but drink large quantities of a cleansing “cocktail.” Its main ingredient, cranberry juice is rich in organic acids and antho-cyanins, which stimulate liver detoxification, Gittleman says. The drink also contains lemon juice and orange juice. Both are rich in ascorbic acid (vitamin C), an antioxidant that deactivates liver-damaging free radicals, improving this organ’s ability to excrete fat and toxins by as much as 35 percent, researchers at Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital report.

And UCLA studies suggest that the brew’s cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger improve the liver’s breakdown of fat and environmental pollutants by as much as 25 percent.

DAY 1 - CLEANSE THE LIVER WITH THIS MIRACLE JUICE

The recipe: Make one day’s worth.

8 oz all natural 100% cranberry juice

56 oz pure water

½ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp ginger

¼ tsp nutmeg

¾ cup fresh orange juice

¼ cup fresh lemon juice

SteviaPlus natural sweetener

Ground flax seed (store in freezer)

Combine 8 oz. all natural cranberry juice (like Trader Joe’s or R.W. Knudsen Family) with 56 oz. water in a pot. Bring to a light boil.

Place ½ tsp. cinnamon and ¼ tsp. each nutmeg and ginger in a tea ball and steep in the liquid for 15 minutes. (If you do not have a tea ball, use a coffee filter and twist tie it closed.)

Allow to cool, then stir in ¾ cup fresh orange juice, ¼ cup lemon juice and SteviaPlus natural sweetener to taste.

THE PLAN:

Upon waking, stir 2 Tbs. ground flaxseed into 1 cup Miracle Juice (Detox Juice) and drink.

One hour later, drink 8 oz water. Every hour for the next 12 hours, alternate drinking a glass of juice (no flax) with a glass of water.

Before bed, mix another 2 Tbs. ground flax in final cup of juice.

DAYS 2 & 3 TURBOCHARGE FAT BURN WITH THESE SUPER FOODS

Day 2 & 3

This phase of the Detoxifying cleanse reintroduces foods proven by researchers at Boston’s Tufts University School of Medicine and elsewhere to aid the liver in more than 100 metabolic reactions involved in fatty-acid metabolism and energy production.

"These delicious comfort foods can restore your liver’s full fat-burning potential within 48 hours," says Gittleman. What’s more, including these foods in your daily diet after your detox ends will keep the weight-controlling organ function at its peak.

Eggs:

Two of these nutrient-packed gems a day deliver the amino acids (methionine, glutamine, and taurine) which facilitate the elimination of fat-soluble toxins by the liver. Eggs are also rich in lecithin, a fatty acid that increases production of digestion-enhancing bile.

Example: Breakfast- 2 eggs, veggies, and water with lemon.

Yogurt:

A daily serving of probiotic-rich yogurt boosts the growth of friendly bacteria in the intestines, such as: Lactobacillus acidophilus and Lactobacillus bifidus. These bacteria help break down the toxins and boost the absorption of liver-nourishing vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and proteins.

Example: Snack- 1 cup yogurt with berries and ground flax.

Artichokes and beets:

These veggies contain silymarin an antioxidant that increases production of fat-dissolving bile by as much as 127 percent. Additionally, silymarin stimulates the liver to excrete toxins, says Gittleman. “Beets are rich in betaine, a phytonutrient that helps the liver convert fat into energy.”

Example: Lunch- Salad with beets, artichokes, 6 oz. protein.

Cinnamon and nutmeg:

Both spices make muscle cells more sensitive to sugar-controlling insulin, reducing appetite and cravings for up to six hours. “Plus, cinnamon is thermogenic,” adds Gittleman. “It increases metabolic rate, as much as tripling your ability to burn calories for fuel instead of storing them as fat.”

Example: Snack- Baked apple with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Cruciferous veggies:

Broccoli and cauliflower contain (indole-3 carbinol and sulforaphane,) phytonutrients that boost the liver’s ability to convert fat-soluble toxins into water-soluble ones that can pass through the kidneys. And these foods contain glucosinolates, which enhance the liver's ability to break down fat.

Example: Dinner- 6 oz. Lean protein, along with cruciferous veggies.
