Flower Essences
The vibrational fingerprint or energy signature of flowers
"vibrational essences"
Flower essences (flower remedies) preserve the vital life force of a flower for use in healing. Though essences made from flowers are the best-known type, "vibrational essences" can be made from many other energies besides those of flowers. This includes: gems, energy of a place (called "environmental" essences), light, color, musical notes, healing energies...
Essences are NOT the same as essential oils used in aromatherapy. Unlike essential oils, they are unscented and unflavored. Through special preparation, essences contain only the energetic properties (the vibrational fingerprint or energy signature) of their parent substances... similar to homeopathic medicines.
In that they are energetic in nature, vibrational essences can more directly act upon the non-physical body than our physical bodies. Essences are therefore particularly adept at addressing the emotional/mental aspect, influencing our feelings, thoughts, consciousness level, beliefs, and unresolved emotional traumas. Users of vibrational essences may find that as their thoughts and emotions change, their physical symptoms might also shift. Essence remedies, unlike herbal remedies, are not specifically designed for physical problems, there is often relief from physical problems as some of the emotional or mental attitudes change.
How do you use essences?
Many use essences either straight from the bottle or diluted in water. They can be taken by mouth (the most popular method) or applied topically on the skin or even in the bath. They can be introduced into any environment by misting the air with a dilution of essences. When using several at a time, you can premix and dilute them together in a dropper bottle.
How are essences made?
The selected object(s) (flowers, gems, etc.) are placed in pure water and then left in sunlight for a period of time. This creates the "mother essence." This is then diluted before it is combined with a preservative (alcohol, glycerin, or vinegar typically), then bottled.
THE BACH FLOWER REMEDIES In the late 1920's Dr. Edward Bach, renowned British scientist and physician, observed that his patients' states of mind were directly related to their physical ills. Dr. Bach noted that apprehension, worry, loneliness, boredom, depression, hate, uncertainty, hopelessness and fear inhibited one's natural healing powers and ability to prevent disease. Unlike traditional medicines' approach to treating only the symptoms, Bach believed that the way to truly cure an illness was to address the underlying emotional causes of the disease. After many years of researching the healing properties of flowering plants, he developed 38 NATURAL REMEDIES to alleviate every negative state that he identified. Unlike dangerous drugs and tranquilizers which mask emotional stress, the Bach Remedies act as catalysts to alleviate the underlying emotional causes of stress. They work subtly and gently to restore calm and emotional balance.
To identify your Bach Remedy needs, read the 38 Remedy Indications. Select the remedies which most closely correspond to your basic personality type, or the emotional stress that is being experienced. The effects of these Remedies are very subtle, yet quite profound. They are nontoxic, nonaddictive and completely safe to use with other medications. You may take up to five different Remedies at a time. Millions of health practitioners, and individuals throughout the world, use this system for gentle relief and healing. They are a great addition to all healing treatments. Safe for pregnant women, pets, plants, and babies.
